Indian Bank Association (IBA) vide letter dated 19.08.2019 adressed to UFBU invited bankers unions for wage talks in Mumbai. Nine unions/ associations has confirmed their participation in the 11th bipartite discussions for Salary revision of bankers.

Recently some of the news papers had published the news of settlement of salary for the Public Sector Banks and stated that Government was agreeable for 15% hike.
Later AIBEA and other officers union had termed these news as baseless.
Now time to wait and watch - how much the unions are able to negotiate and what is there on table for the bankers.

The key reason behind banks' union UBFA's revised demand from the 15 per cent earlier is that the gap between what bank employees earn when compared to those in the government's equivalent grade has widened.
